Weddings Rabbi/Cantor Harrison would be delighted to work with you as you prepare for your wedding day! An expert in developing meaningful rituals, both innovative and based on tradition, she is committed to creating a ceremony that honors your Jewish heritage while celebrating you and your partner’s individual stories and your journey together. Her unique training and experience as both Rabbi and Cantor allows her to weave liturgy, poetry, and song together in an artful and creative manner providing you with a beautifully unique and special ceremony.
Baby Namings In Judaism, it is customary to celebrate the arrival of a child with a ceremony that welcomes them into the covenant of the Jewish community and announces the Hebrew name chosen by their parents. Rabbi/Cantor Harrison is available to work with new parents as they celebrate this milestone by helping them choose a Hebrew name for their child and developing a personalized naming ceremony for them and their family.
End-of-Life Support No matter what age a person is when they come towards the end of their life or the cause of expected death, everyone deserves compassionate support beyond day-to-day medical care during this period in their lives. Rabbi/Cantor Harrison has extensive experience in spiritual care and end-of-life support having worked for over 30 years within the context of a congregation and as a hospital chaplain. In addition to her practical experience in this area, she holds a Certificate in Palliative Care & Gerontology from the Wurzweiler School of Social Work, continues to take specialized Social Work classes, and is a member of the National End-of-Life Doula Alliance. She is available to both Jews and non-Jews for End-of-Life support services.
Funerals Rabbi/Cantor Harrison takes care to support families and accompany them through the initial period of loss following the death of a loved one. She is a thoughtful listener and is committed to making sure the funeral or memorial service for your loved one reflects the essence of the individual and the memories you have shared.
